Integrated Studies of Culture (ISC)

To understand the culture of a society in its entirety, we need to have an integrated understanding of its language, philosophy, history, and literature. Integrated Studies of Culture aims at such integrated understanding of culture. The track therefore includes various courses in humanities. It also includes many courses on philosophy, history, and culture in social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering. The ultimate goal of this track is to cultivate leaders in the creation and development of a culture who has a proper understanding of cultural diversity and humanity.

Curriculum

Culture and Society, Post-modernism and Philosophy, Hegel and Kant, History and Culture of East Asia, Western Contemporary History and World, Introduction to Drama, German Drama, French Novel and Society, History of Economics, Special Topics in Asian Studies, Architecture and Society, Quantum Mechanics, etc.
