About Scranton College

Scranton College was established in 2007 to cultivate global professionals who will lead the knowledge-based society of the 21st century. At Scranton College, there are three divisions; Scranton Honors Program (SHP), an interdisciplinary academic program integrating several important subject areas, the Division of Convergence & Interdisciplinary Studies, and the Division of International Studies (DIS), an interdisciplinary program focused on training international professionals. The synergy effect among these three divisions will accentuate the extraordinary strengths of Ewha Womans University and will help carve out a greater role for women leaders to play in advancing globalization. The name "Scranton" was specially given to the college in memory of Mary F. Scranton, the founder of Ewha Womans University. Some of the courses offered by the Scranton Honors Program and all courses offered by the Division of International Studies are conducted in English. Scranton College also has global training programs with many prominent universities around the world that have strong partnerships with the College.
