The student council of the Scranton Honors Program consists of the president, vice president, five department heads, and each department’s members. The student council holds weekly meetings in which it discusses events and services it can provide to its students. The student council’s main purpose is to help students feel like a part of the Scranton family. In order to do so, the council hosts events such as Back-to-School Party, MT, and Scranton Night. By participating in these events, the students can make special connections with their peers that last even after graduation. All of our activities are announced on our Facebook page, club, and blog. We strive to maintain a transparent student council by making our accounts and other aspects available for all of the SHP students.
