Symposium Associate (SA) Opportunities and Duties

8th ICCDPP International Symposium 2017, Seoul, Korea

Ministry of Education Korea, International Centre for Career Development and Public Policy (ICCDPP), and Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) is co-hosting ICCDPP International Symposium 2017 in Seoul, Korea. The 2017 Symposium invites countries around the world to examine significant changes occurring in their labor markets and to explore constructive and impactful career development responses. This year we are expecting about 300 policy makers, practitioners, scholars, and career development professionals from around 21 countries.

IS2017 will be taking place at the Mayfield Hotel & Resort from June 18, 2017, to June 21, 2017.

1.     Job Description and Responsibilities

Symposium Associate position provides general support for the ICCDPP IS 2017 including preparation of symposium, registration, ushering, information services, and social event services. Their role requires excellent communication skills, judgment, flexibility, strong observation skills, and vigilance.

Requirements:

Attend and participate in all training, preparation and debriefing sessions. Must be able to work during the full program of the Symposium from June 18, 2017, to June 21, 2017, including dinner events and attend a one-day training workshop (TBD) prior to the symposium. Qualifications:

▪         Possess strong Korean and English communication skills

▪         Maintain a team-oriented philosophy, positive attitude, and high energy for event interactions

▪         Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships in a diverse multi-cultural environment

▪         Must be legally able to work in South Korea

2.     What do Symposium Associates receive?

▪         Certificate of Service issued by KRIVET and ICCDPP IS 2017 after successful completion of the terms

▪         Free registration access to the symposium sessions and exhibitions

▪         Lodging and meals during the symposium event

▪         Remuneration of ₩350,000

3.     Application Process

▪         Screening: by May 10, 2017

▪         Interview: Successful candidates will be interviewed in May
